Thirteen big horn sheep rams are beautifully carved from serpentine by Zuni Indian artist Andres Quandelacy. This early work by Andres was collected around 1980.
A rare brownish-green color of the serpentine is of the highest quality and very rare. Even the heishe is matched to it.
Each ram is 1 1/8" long and 5/8" tall, with minor variations. Total length with silver cones is 26". Nice details include their curved horns.
This necklace was an exciting find in a group of Estate jewelry that includes pieces by Charles Loloma, Richard Tsosie and Andrew Emerson Quam.
