1930 era Navajo Indian floor rug is woven of hand spun native wool in natural browns and white with vegetal dyed gold and aniline dyed red.
Think of all the movie people who stayed in the Monument Valley area while filming those great Westerns! The Navajo weavers kept them well supplied in rugs, they were especially fond of feathers as a "native" design.
This wonderful old rug has been well cared for, but there is a one square inch area with warp breaks in the white as pictured. Can be repaired or left as is.
Dimensions are 36" by 58". It has pretty straight sides for an old weaving.
Buyer pays $20.00 for shipping and insurance.
