A flute playing Kokopelli dances across the front of this graceful pottery vase by renowned Hopi Indian artist Elizabeth Quoyawayma White. Known as Polimgoysi, b.1892-d.1990, Elizabeth White was an Arizona Indian Living Treasure in 1989.

Although the vessel is wheel thrown, Elizabeth made contemporary art from traditional Hopi designs. The slight blushing and a fire spot suggest pit firing.

This vintage 1970s era pottery is in wonderful original condition, stands 14" tall and is 6" across the shoulder. Signed.

Elizabeth White's pottery is rarely seen in the marketplace, so this is a treat for us!
