Award Winning Pottery by Mary Juan
Blue ribbon winner pottery jar from the 1955 Gallup Ceremonial is a mate to the following tall neck jar.

Elegant pottery vase hand crafted by Maricopa Indian artist Mary Juan has the classic elongated neck and globular body for which the Maricopa are known. But nobody did it better than Mary Juan. She was also one of the few to make a handle in the Grecian style.

Perfectly shaped vessel is highly burnished red slip and painted with mesquite sap in Mary's signature design. Pit fired. Signed.

Dating from the 1950s, this pottery gem is in wonderful original condition, no chips or cracks. One minor fleck of missing slip as pictured. Standing 12" tall, the body is 7 1/2" across.

Buyer pays $30.00 for packing, shipping and insurance.
