Standing bear is carved from a log by Navajo Indian folk artist Johnson Antonio. The big brown bear has a sad look on his face. Nicely textured and painted fur and claws.
Johnson Antonio is the featured artist in the Rosenak's book "The People Speak, Navajo Indian Folk Art". Considered to be the finest living Navajo folk artist, by many, Johnson has slowed down on his carving, so we are happy to find a few new pieces.
