A traditional Navajo Grandmother is carved out of a log by Navajo Indian folk artist Johnson Antonio. Carved in 1993, signed and dated, this elegant Navajo woman is wearing her beautiful coral and turquoise jewelry. Johnson Antonio is the featured artist in the Rosenak's book "The People Speak, Navajo Indian Folk Art". Considered to be the finest living Navajo folk artist, by many, Johnson has slowed down on his carving, so we are happy to find an earlier piece to offer.
