Louise Platero Turquoise and Silver Squash Blossom Set
Vibrant blue turquoise set in sterling silver jewelry by Navajo Indian Louise Platero, circa 1984. The dainty squash blossom necklace, earrings and ring feature high quality natural turquoise, either Burnham or old Kingman.

Louise Platero and her husband Ramon are credited with being the first to make a silver leaf as a decorative element on their jewelry, circa 1950s. The bezels are created with silver looped wire, the blossoms are curved like flowers and the hand crafted beads are very tiny, 4 mm.

The necklace is 22" end to end plus the naja which is 3" long. Dangle earrings of 2 1/4" are hinged and the screw backs can easily be modified to posts. The single stone ring is 1 1/4" long, size 8 1/2. All pieces are signed.

Buyer pays $15.00 for shipping and insurance.

Old Territorial Indian Arts is known for selling collector quality Indian arts and jewelry, since 1969.
