Wild color and design are the hallmarks of Navajo weavings from Teec Nos Pos. With layered borders, outlined design elements and up to 15 colors, a Teec is never boring. This modern Navajo Indian textile is woven by Lula Parrish, a noted weaver of this style. Her interpretation of traditional Navajo symbols is fascinating! Note the "arrows" and the large pink figures which are Yei. Lots of fun. Woven with commercial wool, the colors are strong and the rug has some weight. At 6'5" by 4'4" this modern tapestry will add punch to a room, whether hanging or on the floor. There was a breeze during photo shoot, this textile is nice and straight. Also the color is strong, slight lightening due to glare. Fine original condition, this piece was purchased ten years ago and has been in storage. Buyer pays $25.00 for shipping and insurance. Retail price $8500.00. |
