A traditional old style Navajo basket by weaver Fannie King, woven of splits of sumac over a bundle foundation. The black and red are dyed, white is natural. In the style of an 1890s design featuring Spiderwoman crosses and a silver button in the center. Dimensions are 12" diameter by 2" deep. Smells fresh as she just made it! Fannie is from near the Shonto Trading Post in northern Arizona. Buyer pays $15.00 for shipping. |
