Wonderful pictorial of a Navajo Indian rug weaver seated at her loom with a view of her hogan, sheep and the desert. Everything is blooming! Note how you can see through the warps of her weaving. Woven by Geanita John, daughter of the famous pictorial weaver Isabel John, this mint condition textile was purchased from the Museum of Northern Arizona at their Navajo Art Show in 1994. It even won a green ribbon for honorable mention. Dimensions are 37" by 41". Nice even weave, 12 warps and 36 wefts per inch. Muted colors from the trading post wool. Buyer pays $15.00 for shipping. |
