Unusual pictorial rug with trains on a Chief Style Blanket. Woven by Navajo Indian Betty Joe, this fun textile took an Honorable Mention at the 1990 Museum of Northern Arizona Navajo Arts Show.
Deep red and blue against a crisp white make up the body with two locomotives steaming away and a whole train going across the center.
Dimensions are 37" by 47", nine warps and thirty-two wefts per inch with a nice smooth weave, straight sides. Good original condition, like new.
