"Turquoise Unearthed, An Illustrated Guide". This is one of the better basic books on learning about the "Skystone" turquoise. It has a good history of the stone, color correct photographs to aid with identification of stones and information on the most famous of the American turquoise mines. The authors explain the treating of turquoise, what it is and what to look out for when purchasing turquoise. Published in 2002, written by Joe Dan Lowery and Joe P. Lowery who created the Turquoise Museum in Albuquerque. 74 pages, soft cover.
