Santana and Adam Lidded Jar with Blue Ribbon
Impressive large round jar with a bird lid is an award winning pot by Maria's son Adam and his wife Santana.

10" diameter by 8 1/4" tall plus the 3" lid with bird perched atop.

Traditionally hand built with native clay and stone burnished and reverse painted Avanyu by Santana, pit fired to gunmetal black.

Purchased from them at their Pueblo home, photos included of Adam and Santana with the jar.

The Blue Ribbon is the Ida Redbird Memorial award , 1971, Heard Museum Guild Indian Arts & Crafts Exhibit.
