Mimbres style mountain lions pause above the swirl of water on this 15 1/4" diameter plate by San Ildefonso Pueblo Indian artist Juan Cruz Roybal, d.1990. Traditionally hand built with coils of native clay, stone burnished and reverse slip painted, then pit fired to black. It is hard to imagine how large and impressive this piece of art is! Fine original condition with minor surface wear, no cracks, chips or repairs. Buyer pays $40.oo for packing, shipping and insurance. |
