A new born antelope is the focus of this finely made pottery seed jar by Susan Snowflake Romero, daughter of Joseph Lonewolf. Snowflake is known for her very fine sgrafitto carving, perfectly polished red ware and artistic interplay of realism and Mimbres style. Note the Mimbres running antelope and tracks. Several techniques of carving create the illusion of colors and depth. This is a masterpiece! The 2" ball is traditionally hand built with native clay, stone polished and pit fired. Signed Pho Sa We and a snowflake. Originally purchased from us in about 1995, it is like new condition. Buyer pays $15.00 for shipping and insurance. |
