1930 Navajo Indian Squash Blossom Item#1105948 Click to view additional photos4
Fabulous ethnographic Indian jewelry with gorgeous old gold web #8 turquoise. Dating from the classic period of the 1930s, this is possibly from the CG Wallace trading post, due to the top quality of the perfectly matched stones. Each setting is unique in size creating a box bow with a small squash blossom on each. Ranging in width from 30 mm to 15 mm, we estimate 300-350 carats total. The naja has two cracked stones, both are secure, one stone cracked on the side. The elaborate naja measures 4" tall by 2 1/2" across. Excellent turquoise in excellent silver work make this a top of the line piece of Indian Jewelry. Etched into the naja is Florence Jackson, maker or owner? |
