Garnet Pavatea of Hopi is one of the most beloved of the mid-century potters. Many collectors have fond memories of her and seek out her pots which are made with great care. From the Tewa Village on First Mesa she was known for her fine traditionally painted Hopi pottery as well as her red ware, often impressed like cooking pots of old.
