A lovely olla shape makes this Hopi Indian coil basket a real find!Woven by Madeline Lamson of Second Mesa, purchased from her at the Heard Weavers Show in 2003. Three Avachoyas are separated by corn, each with it's own color, red, yellow and white. Excellent details include the snouts and feathers plus all the imbricated accents. The vegetal dyed colors of red, yellow and black are mellow. Note there are four rain bands and two rain bows. Beautiful! Buyer pays $20.00 for shipping and insurance. |
