One of the first Navajo silversmiths to make a name for his inlay jewelry was Jake Livingston. With some Zuni heritage he was able to step out of the traditional Navajo style of jewelry. His fine workmanship in silver and stone cutting still shines today. One of his trademark pieces was a spinner disc that allowed him to create two designs in one piece of jewelry. In this pendant we have a blue jay and a hummingbird. Red coral, turquoise, abalone shell, jet and mother of pearl are beautifully cut and inset in the silver. Note the floral embellishment as well as cold chiseled borders. The frame is 2 1/4" diameter, the spinner is 2" diameter. Note that we have two cuff bracelets of the same era, one for each arm! Buyer pays $15.00 for shipping and insurance. Original Price $900.00 |
