Sterling silver and Morenci, Arizona turquoise make this bola tie a classic! Crafted with sheet silver, the feathers and bezel are hand made to set off the two natural turquoise stones. Marked with the Shop mark for Carl Luthe who employed many fine Navajo Indian silversmiths.

The old Thunderbird is made of turquoise, coral, jet and mother of pearl. We have two brooches also by this artist, even though we don't know who it is. Very distinctive style.

Vintage Zuni Indian bola tie of the Knife Wing God is beautifully inlaid in the mosaic style. Turquoise, coral, jet and mother of pearl are set in sterling silver.

The old style slide on the back and the quality of the stonework suggests a date in the 1950s.

Zuni Indian channel inlay bola tie by Roosevelt Takala from the 1970s. Mother of pearl, turquoise, coral and jet are inlaid in channels of silver. The Sun Chief's war bonnet represents eagle feathers. Very traditional symbol from the Zuni Indian Pueblo.
