Circa 1890s serape style wearing blanket is brightly colored with bands of zig zags balanced with bands of white and red.Hand spun native wool, soft silky feeling transitional era, is native dyed with aniline dyes of yellow, green, red, orange, dark blue and blue green. This weaver had only enough of the expensive Germantown wool to make fringe for the ends. But she was definitely influenced by the Germantown colors.... Click for details
