Navajo Indian Storm Pattern Rug   $1800.004

One of the most recognizable designs woven by Navajo Indians is the Storm Pattern. We see early 20th century textiles with variations of it and the JB Moore catalog featured several in 1903 and 1911.

This particular Navajo textile was woven in the 1970s with commercially dyed and spun wool, hence the evenness of the colors. The border is particularly nice with the flag type feathers, they almost look like flames.... Click for details

Navajo Indian Twill Weave Saddle Blanket
3Navajo Indian Twill Weave Saddle Blanket   $1950.00

Very unusual Navajo Indian double saddle blanket with bands of alternating direction diagonal twill weave.

All hand spun native wool, natural white, dark brown and carded brown with aniline dyed red and orange. The weavers sense of color and drama is played out in the wide bands of twill weave. Lots of motion for the eye!

The 1920s era saddle... Click for details

Vintage Navajo Saddle Blanket   $925.004

Wonderful Sunday Saddle Blanket, Navajo Indian circa 1930s. The square single sized blanket with central design motif and wool fringe sets this apart from an every day saddle blanket. Have read that this was placed over the saddle for maximum style!

All hand spun native wool, natural white and carded gray, aniline dyed red, orange, black, green. The looped fringe is Germantown wool, all original.... Click for details

Vintage Navajo Saddle Blanket
Indian Chief Pictorial Navajo Textile
3Indian Chief Pictorial Navajo Textile   $985.00

Navajo Indian rug from the 1940s features a Plains style Indian Chief with War Bonnet. Maybe the Navajo weaver went to a Pow Wow and saw those other Indians and was inspired to weave this! War Shields, bow and arrows and eagle feathers complete the picture.

Combination of handspun native wool and three ply commercial (for the more colorful). This wonderful pictorial has never been walked on so has its original nubbine... Click for details
