An early Transitional Moki Serape woven by a Navajo Indian circa 1880, glows with the bands of indigo dyed wool, natural white and rich brown and aniline dyed corals. The old silky wool took the dyes very well and holds them still!

There is no mistaking a Red Mesa style Navajo Indian rug when all the design elements are outlined in many colors.
