Monument Valley is the back drop for the pleasant scene of grazing sheep and cows in this Navajo Indian pictorial rug woven by Bertha Bell.

Commercial wool is nicely woven, the shape is straight (bad photo), measures 19" by 28".

Charming pastoral scene is woven as a tapestry by Navajo Indian artist Alice Segena. A Navajo lady is cooking out front of her hogan, she may just have come home in the bright red pick up truck. Cows and sheep graze peacefully and all is well!

Commercial yarn is nicely woven and the rug is perfectly shaped (bad photo), 14" by 15".

Rose Myer Miniature Rug   $75.004

Navajo Indian rug in miniature by Rose Myer of Lower Greasewood. Rose is well known for her framed charts showing the plants used to make dyes. Included in each one is a tiny weaving on a loom. so it was natural for Rose to make miniature tapestries for us.

The soft rose color is actually dyed with cochineal, the black is from pinon pitch, sumac and ochre.... Click for details
