Cochiti Storyteller Turtle Helen and George Cordero   $3000.004

A dual signature storyteller turtle by mother and son Helen and George Cordero! It was a rare occurence for the two to work together and this wonderful turtle with five boys is a great find.

It is hard to say who did what, all the details appear to be painted by Helen, maybe George was there when she signed it!

An early example of the fine workmanship by Santa Clara Pueblo Indian artist, Denny Gutierrez, son of Katherine.

In the 1970s when this small pot was made, Denny was working full time as an electrician, making pots in his time off. After he served as Pueblo Governor in the early 2000s, he went back to pottery making.

Polychrome Painted Pueblo Pottery   Sale Price $140.004

A lightning tongued lizard circles the rim of this traditional Pueblo Indian pottery jar handcrafted by Golden Rod, Gloria Garcia.

The multi colored paints are clay slips for which this family is known, Mother was Petra Gutierrez, sisters are Minnie Vigil and Thelma Talachy.

The matte finished jar stands 3" tall and is 4" diameter. Signed.... Click for details

Wonderful black pottery moccasins by San Ildefonso Pueblo Indian artist Juanita Wo-peen Gonzales. Made as candle holders back in the 1970s, they have all the details of the lady's traditional moccasins: flared sides, button holes and defined soles.

The traditionally made pottery is stone burnished to a high shine, pit fired to black. Standing 3" tall 3 1/2" heel to toe and 2 1/2" wide. Signed.... Click for details
