A new born antelope is the focus of this finely made pottery seed jar by Susan Snowflake Romero, daughter of Joseph Lonewolf.

The iconic green slip, wonderful stone burnished finish and Mimbres style carving all tell us this was a creation of Santa Clara Pueblo potter Ray Tafoya, 1956-1994.

The animated lizard could be on the wall of a ruin, where ray got much of his inspiration. Enhanced with blue and yellow mineral paints.

Mae Tapia, daughter-in-law of Belen Tapia, began winning prizes for her finely made miniature pottery back in the 1970s.

Beautifully stone burnished seed pot is 1 1/4" tall by 1 3/4" diameter. Sgrafitto carved, two medallions and borders, one Flute Player and one Kachina. Pit fired to black.

Miniature red pottery olla by Art Cody, known as Haungooah, Kiowa Sioux of Oklahoma. He shares the name Haungooah with his grandfather, a legendary 19th century Army Scout and ledger artist.

Art Cody married Santa Clara Pueblo Indian Martha Suazo in the late 1960s and moved to the Pueblo where they collaborated on tiny pottery, she made them and he carved them. They began winning prizes with their very first miniature... Click for details
